Must have been looking at the wrong terminal. dvipng software package provides convert DVI files to PNG graphics, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal, sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install dvipng dvipng is installed in your system. I was wrong that the problem also effected my Raspberry Pi installation.
By renaming the file (just in case), FFMpeg now loads the correct library from /usr/lib/x8664-linux-gnu.

The not-for-profit I help with could not afford a camera system such as the one we set up with ZM! 15 cameras, by-the-way, with a mix of analog, IP and h.264 running on a second hand Dell Optiplex 780. Possibly left over from many upgrades since Ubuntu 14.04. I for one am very grateful for all the work folks have done on ZM. The setup procedure in the "easy" series does not make ZM compatible with Ubuntu but makes Ubuntu and Apache compatible with ZM. Not sure if there is a way to export a real video file but in most wotk I've done with police they are very happy to have a sequence of files. Not sure if this works but I was able to export an event that contained an HTML file that played the jpg images in a loop. Update: You can try to add /usr/bin/avconv in the area above. Since this setup saves the video stream as JPEG files I consider the system to be working! Others may disagree.
